12. Vältä hankalia käden asentoja, jolloin äkkinäinen työstökappaleen luiskahtaminen saattaa aiheuttaa sormiesi tai kätesi osumisen hiomanauhaan. Pidä sormet etäällä kohdasta, jossa hiomanauha menee pölynpoistimeen. 13. Muista aina työkappaleen oikea syöttösuunta. Syötä kappaletta nauhaa tai laikkaa kohti ainoastaan nauhan tai laikan pyörimissuunnan vastaisesti. 14. - Page 4 Älä koskaan työstä sellaisia kappaleita, jotka ovat liian pieniä käsissä pideltäviksi.
