Multiplication, Division, and Power Rules
Multiplication and division are performed in floating-point mode.
The final result is rounded so that the number of significant
figures in the result is the same as the number of significant
figures in the factor having the least number of significant
figures.

Example:

When you raise a value to a power, the base is the factor that
determines the number of significant figures in the result. The
exponent is always an exact value in the calculation.
