Speaker settings (SPEAKER SETUP)
•
Output mode (DOWNMIX): here you can select sound effects if no centre speaker or subwoofer is
available:
•
LT / RT: when you play a 'PRO LOGIC Dolby' disc, you must select this effect to achieve a lively,
cinema-like sound.
•
STEREO: if you are outputting a 5.1 signal, select this setting to distribute the signals to 2 speakers.
•
VSS: if you have a disc containing a 5.1 signal, this setting can be used to achieve a VSS effect.
Digital settings (DIGITAL SETUP)
•
Usage mode (OP MODE): select the audio output mode.
•
LINE OUT: the audio signal is slightly compressed and is thus slightly quieter.
•
RF REMOD: this makes the audio signal slightly louder. This setting should be used during the day.
•
Dynamic range (DYNAMIC RANGE): if you have selected LINE OUT from Mode, you can specify the
linear compression. With FULL, the input volume is at the minimum volume of the device; with OFF,
the input volume is the maximum volume that can be reached.
•
Dual mono: this setting determines the signal distribution on the left and right channels. It should
be mainly used for karaoke (AC3). 4 modes are available: STEREO, MONO L, MONO R, MIX MONO
Question: After I insert a DVD, why does a window appear in which I should enter a 4-digit code?
Answer: This happens when the inserted DVD exceeds the clearance level of child safety. Either enter
this code each time or increase the level in the menu (See topic 'RATING)'. Note:
•
If you have not yet changed the password, there will be no password which you may enter. Please
change the password and define the clearance level of the device's parental lock.
•
To learn how you may change the clearance level, please see the 'Rating' point of Parental Lock.
