Compression of fracture
After the first distal interlocking screw is placed, the fracture site may be
impacted, figure 8.

Proximal interlock
This may be directed from lateral to medial
or anterior to posterior, figure 9. We are
studying the stability of these interlocks.
Mechanism of interlock is the same as tibia.
in retrograde approach.
Manipulate the knee to full flexion.
