Data Format and Communications
LadyBug sensors employ a standard I2C 7-bit addressing scheme with bits 0-6 as address and bit-
7, the eighth bit as a direction bit (R/W ̅ ). All messages begin by the user (master) issuing a
standard I2C start condition and terminate with a standard I2C stop condition. Each byte must be
acknowledged by the receiver of the data. The figure below details an I2C message with address
information followed by a byte of data, which would normally contain header or instruction
information as detailed later in this document.
