    Understanding the Wireless Network Wireless local area networks ( ) perform the exact same functions as wired WLAN local area networks ( ).     Setting Up the Adapter The instructions that follow in this chapter parallel the steps contained in the Actiontec Connection 1-2-3 to setting up the Adapter. It is recommended the user run Connection first, before attempting any other procedures. Caution: Do not plug in the Adapter until instructed during the installation procedure.
