Xtend Voice Logger
Thank you for purchasing Xtend Voice Logger. For proper installation and optimum performance,
please follow the steps given below.
Software Setup
1. Insert CD into CD ROM drive and run the setup "XtendALogger.exe".
2. Welcome Wizard appears as first screen, click Next.
3. Read the License Agreement carefully and select "I accept the agreement". Now, click Next.
4. Default installation directory is "C:\XtendLogger", click Next to proceed.
5. The default program shortcut is Xtend Voice Logger 3.0, click Next.
6. Check the given location and click Install to begin the installation process.
(Note: If the Windows Firewall blocked message appears, then click "Allow access" to proceed
with the installation.)
7. Click Finish to complete the installation process.
Important: On successful installation, Xtend Web Server icon
area of the taskbar.
Hardware Setup
1. Connect Xtend Voice Logger device using the USB cable to the USB slot on the rear side of the
computer. Make sure that it is not connected to the USB slot on the front of computer.
2. The LED on the front-side of device turns red and blinking.
3. Windows shall automatically detect and install the hardware for all operating systems. In case,
if the hardware is not successfully installed then manually update the driver through the Device
Manager. Go to Device Manager, the device will be detected under Other Devices as "Xtend
Voice Logger Digital Trunk" with a yellow exclamation sign. Right click and select "Update
driver software". Select "Search automatically for updated driver software" from the list of
options and click Next to continue.
4. After completing the installation process, the device will be detected as "Xtend Voice Logger
Digital Trunk" under WinUSB/Universal Serial Bus Devices.
5. If selecting the option "Search automatically for updated driver software" doesn't work, then
select the second option "Browse my computer for driver software". Browse and select the
Voice Logger installed folder "XtendLogger", click Next to continue.
6. The software for Xtend Voice Logger is installed, click Finish. Message appears as "Your new
hardware is installed and ready to use".
7. Connect the incoming line from the ISDN PRI to the "LINE IN" and the outgoing "LINE OUT"
to the EPABX system.

Front USB Connectors may not provide the performance necessary to support such transfers due to non-standard wiring. It is
recommended that only rear USB slots be used to connect to Xtend Voice Logger ISDN PRI.
