The encryption process starts and displays its progress. Encryption can take an hour or
more, during which time your tablet may restart several times.

Encrypt External SD Card

You can encrypt all the data on your SD card. If you do, you must enter a numeric PIN or
password each time you power on your tablet.

Make Passwords Visible

Select whether or not device and application passwords are visible on the screen as you enter
them.
■ Touch

Device Administrators

You can disable the authority to be a device administrator for certain applications. If disabled,
you will typically lose some authority in those applications, such as the ability to sync email or
calendar events to your device.
To select device administrators:
■ Touch

device administrator to follow the prompts.

Unknown Sources

If you want to install apps from sources other than the Play Store, you must allow the installation
of apps from unknown sources first.
1. Touch

2. Touch the Unknown sources check box and then touch OK.
Note: To protect your tablet and personal data, please download apps from trusted sources,
such as the Play Store.

Credential Storage

These options let you control how your tablet accesses and stores secure certificates,
passwords, and other credentials.
1. Touch

Settings
> Settings > Security, and then check or uncheck Encrypt SD
> Settings > Security, and then check or uncheck Make
> Settings > Security > Device administrators, and then select a
