[Speaker Settings]
[Manual Speaker Settings]
You can perform the speaker settings to
obtain the best possible surround
sound. For details, see "Customizing the
Speaker Settings for Surround Sound"
(page 54).
[Wireless Speaker Settings]
You can perform connecting settings of
the wireless speakers (subwoofer and
rear speakers).
• [Link mode]
You can set the connection method
for the subwoofer and rear speakers.
[Auto]: Connects the subwoofer and
rear speakers to the system
automatically.
[Manual]: Connects the subwoofer
and rear speakers manually.
• [Start manual linking]
Perform the manual connection of the
subwoofer and rear speakers to the
system. For details, see "Connecting
the Subwoofer and Rear Speakers
Wirelessly" (page 31).
• [Check wireless connection]
You can check the connection status
of the subwoofer and rear speakers.
• [RF Channel]
You can minimize interference with
other wireless devices. For details, see
"If Wireless Transmission is Unstable"
(page 33).
• [Wireless Playback Quality]
You can set the wireless playback
quality of the subwoofer and rear
speakers.
[Sound Quality]: The sound quality
takes priority over the connection
status of the wireless connection.
[Connection]: The connection status
takes priority over the sound quality.

• [Software Version]
You can check the software version of
the subwoofer and rear speakers.
[Audio Settings]
[DSEE HX]
This function is only available when
[Auto Sound]* or [Music] is selected as
the sound mode.
[On]: Upscales the compressed audio
files or CDs to a High-Resolution sound
quality and reproduces the clear high-
range sound which is often lost
(page 49).
[Off]: Off
* Only when [Music] is selected with [Auto
Sound].
[Audio DRC]
You can compress the dynamic range of
the sound track.
[Auto]: Automatically compresses
sound encoded in Dolby TrueHD.
[On]: The system reproduces the dolby
and DTS sound track with the kind of
dynamic range that the recording
engineer intended.
[Off]: No compression of dynamic
range.
[Sound Effect]
You can select sound effects such as the
sound mode.
[Sound Mode On]: Vertical Surround
Engine enhances the surround and
height speaker channels to create an
immersive and enveloping virtual
surround effect such as sound mode
(page 46) and vertical surround
(page 45).
[Dolby Speaker Virtualizer]: Dolby
Speaker Virtualizer enhances the
surround and height speaker channels
to create an immersive and enveloping
virtual surround effect when you play
