    Repairs may only be performed by authorised repair bodies. Independent and unauthorised intervention may result in death, injury or property damage. The warranty provided by EPA will be invalidated in such cases. 1.7 Responsibility As a basic principle, electronic devices are not fail-safe. The operator and/or the contractor setting up the machine or system is responsible for ensuring that the drive switches to a safe state if the device fails.
