FIELD of APPLICATION

Personal Protector Equipment (classe3) :self-blocking descender and
mobile fall arrest device on ropes EN 1891 :1998 class A de 10<Ø<11mm
for a maximum load of 120 kg
NORMATIVE INFORMATION :EN 12841: 2006. LOV2 is a rope adjustment
device type A et C, aimed to be used as a fall arrest or backup device and
as a descender, for one person only.
Used as a rope adjustment device type A, it must be used in conjunction
with a type B or C on another rope, or a normalised work positioning
device or one independent system of progression at height.
For safety the parallel device with his anchor point, must be correctly
positioned and must be installed to low at the minus falling risks.
Used as a rope adjustment device type C, , it must be used in conjunction
with a type A on another rope for backup device.

WARNING
Be aware of not impacting one safety function of one device by other
devices.
• A fall arrest harness is the only body connection device allowed to be
used in a whole fall arrest system.
• In a whole fall arrest system, it is mandatory to verify the free space
required below the user, in a way to not allow collisions with obstacles
or the ground.
• Ropes must be ½ statics EN 1891 type A , The harness normalised EN
361,and the connectors EN 362 must be self-locking.
• The connection must be done by the only connection point of the rope
adjustment device LOV2, and the maintaining point or fall arrest point
of the harness.
• All user must be trained, manage the adequate technical competences
and read the user instructions.
• Activities at height require medical capacities. They are dangerous and
can cause serious injuries or death.
• An emergency plan of rescue and of evacuation must be planed.

CONTROLS, POINTS TO CHECK
WARNING
