Installation
Make sure power to your receiver or power
amplifier is off before doing any wiring.
To make a connection, strip 3/8" of insulation from the end of the wire.
Twist the wire ends so that there are no frayed wires.
Push the tab and insert the wire into the correct input.
Connect the wires from the loudspeaker output of your receiver or amplifier to the terminals marked INPUTS on the QLS8.1. Connect the
"+" output from the right front output on the amplifier to the right "+" on the QLS8.1 and connect the "-" output from your amplifier to
the "-" input of the switcher. Likewise, connect the left channel wires to the left inputs. Ensure that the connections are made correctly, as
any improper connections will cause the loudspeakers to play out of phase.
Connect wires from each of the loudspeakers to the corresponding output connection on the switcher.
Operation
Initial connection
For initial turn-on, it is recommended that only one loudspeaker pair be used. Select this loudspeaker pair and turn on your
receiver/amplifier. Ensure that sound is coming from both loudspeakers. If there is no sound, check your connections from your amplifi-
er/receiver and the loudspeaker connections.
Loudspeaker Selector Inputs
Engaging additional front panel controls (1-8) will allow the selected loudspeakers to function.
Single Pair Direct
When listening to a single pair of loudspeakers, especially at high listening levels, it is recommended that the Single Pair Direct
be turned ON.
