7. TROUBLE SHOOTING
THE PROBLEM
The forks do not reach maximum
height.
The forks do not raise.
The forks will not descend
Leaks.
The forks descend and cannot be
maintained in the raised position.
Recycle unwanted materials instead of disposing of them as waste. All tools, accessories and packaging should be sorted, taken to a recycling
centre and disposed of in a manner which is compatible with the environment. When the product becomes completely unserviceable and requires
disposal, drain off any fluids (if applicable) into approved containers and dispose of the product and the fluids according to local regulations.

THE CAUSE
Hydraulic oil level too low.
Too cold.
No hydraulic oil
The oil is contaminated.
Air in the hydraulic system.
Truck stored in raised position allowing
exposed piston rod to corrode and jam.
Piston rod or pump body deformed as a result
of overloading or unbalanced load.
Seals worn, damaged or cracked.
Release valve not fully closed owing to
impurities in oil.
Air in the hydraulic system.
Seals worn, damaged or cracked.
Parts of hydraulic system cracked or worn.

THE SOLUTION
Top up the oil.
Operate at rated temperature.
Fill with hydraulic oil
Change the oil.
Purge the air as described in Section 6.
Lubricate rod regularly and store truck
in lowered position.
Replace piston rod or pump body.
Replace seals.
Change the oil.
Purge the air as described in Section 6.
Replace seals.
Inspect and replace.
