CHANGING CHANNELS
See Figures 3 - 5, pages i-ii.
To change radio channels manually in AM or FM setting,
use the tune button to seek manually or with the seek
feature.
AM/FM Channels:
 With the radio set to AM or FM, push the tune/seek
selector up or down and quickly release to manually
change radio channels one frequency at a time.
 To change radio channels using the seek feature, push
the tune/seek selector up or down and hold for one
second before releasing to directly skip to receivable
radio channels.
To change channels in Weather Band Mode:
 With the radio set to Weather Band, push the tune/seek
selector up or down and quickly release to manually
change weather band channels one frequency at a
time.
NOTE: The seek feature does not work in Weather
Band mode.
To use the antenna:
 Raise or lower radio antenna until radio channel can be
heard clearly. The antenna can also be rotated or tilted
to help improve reception for weaker channels.
WEATHERBAND CHANNELS
This radio is capable of receiving broadcasts on any one
of seven available National Weather Radio (NWR) broad-
cast frequencies. The channel numbers displayed when
tuning correspond with the frequencies below:

National Weather Radio (NWR) is a nationwide network of
radio stations broadcasting continuous weather informa-
tion directly from a nearby National Weather Service of-
fice. NWR broadcasts National Weather Service warnings,
watches, forecasts, and other hazard information 24 hours
a day. A listing of the National Weather Radio stations
used for specific areas is available on the internet.

OPERATION

AUXILIARY MODE
See Figure 6, page ii.
The portable radio can be used as an amplifier for MP3
players, CD players, and other music devices.
To use the auxiliary mode:
 Push the MODE button to select the AUX mode.
 Remove moisture cover protecting the auxiliary input
jack.
 Plug the auxiliary cable into the auxiliary input jack
above the ON/OFF/VOLUME knob.
 Plug cable into music device.
 Turn radio and music device ON.
NOTE: Adjust volume to desired level using either the
radio or music device.
After setting up the radio to amplify an accessory device,
you can use the accessory device holder on the back to
clip the accessory device to the radio.
