SKIMMER ASSEMBLY
2
The V
Skim 80 Micro Protein Skimmer is supplied almost fully assembled. After unpacking
and before installation you must:-
1. Ensure that both the collection cup lid (1) and the collection cup (2) are securely and
correctly positioned on the water inlet chamber (6). Failure to do so could result in
leaks.
2. Carefully push one of the 90° push-fit elbow connectors (9) into the water inlet (7) and
attach the water inlet hose (8).
3. Carefully push the hanging adjustment cam (17) into the hole located on the underside
of the main skimmer body (16)

INSTALLATION

The V²Skim 80 is designed for simple 'hang-on' installation externally on an aquarium or
sump.
1. Ensure that there is adequate space around the
aquarium or sump to allow the V
correctly with sufficient space to carry out maintenance.
2
2. Hang the V
Skim 80 on the side of your aquarium or
sump in the desired location ensuring that it is in a
position where it can be easily connected to the water
outlet of your water supply pump.
3. Carefully rotate the hanging adjustment cam (17) to
ensure that the skimmer is hanging correctly on the side
of your aquarium or sump.
4. Connect the end of the water inlet hose (8) to the
outlet of your water supply pump.
USEFUL TIP: If your water supply pump is supplied complete with a water outlet flow
control valve, we would strongly recommend that this is installed to help control and
regulate the water flow to the skimmer if required.
USEFUL TIP: The remaining 90º push fit elbow connector (9) that is supplied with the
skimmer can be used to allow for easier connection of the water inlet hose to the outlet
of your water supply pump and to help ensure that there are no kinks in the hose.
