Up Channel/Volume Button (10)
In the standby mode, pressing this button will increment the listening
volume. When in function edit mode this button will be used to adjust the
unit's settings. Pressing this button will also cause the LCD backlight to
come on for about 5 seconds.
Down Channel/Volume Button (11)
In the standby mode, pressing this button will decrement the listening
volume. When in function edit mode this button will be used to adjust the
unit's settings. Pressing this button will also cause the LCD backlight to
come on for about 5 seconds.
Function (F) Button (12)
This button is used to select various feature settings in the GMRS and FRS
modes. Holding the Function button longer than 2 seconds will engage the
auto keylock function.
External Speaker (SPK)/Microphone (MIC) Jacks (6)
This set of jacks accepts an Audiovox headset/microphone connector. For
additional optional equipment and accessories for the GMRS1100-2CH,
visit the Audiovox web site at www.audiovox.com.
VOX Button (13)
Press this Button momentarily to enable or disable the VOX mode. When
enabled, the VOX icon (
) will appear, and the VOX sensitivity level can
be set to the low, mid or high setting as desired. Refer to VOX Sensitivity
Selection settings later on in this manual.
CALL Button (14)
Press the CALL button to automatically alert a receiver to a transmission
on the selected channel; a call melody will sound, the red transmit LED will
light and the call icon (
) will appear for about 3 seconds.
Operating Modes and .eatures
GRMS/FRS Operation:
- From GMRS/FRS standby mode, press and hold the PWR button for 2
seconds to turn on power.
