GUARDIAN Quick Start Guide
Thank you for purchasing the EDGE DiskGO Secure GUARDIAN. The GUARDIAN utilizes
256-bit AES hardware encryption—the highest level of government-grade encryption
available. Hardware encryption is a faster, more secure alternative to software encryption.
Your data is actually written to a physical encryption chip; not through software. To learn
more about the benefits of hardware encryption, visit www.edgetechcorp.com/aes-hardware-encryption.
Getting started with your DiskGO Secure GUARDIAN is easy – just follow these instructions:
1. Insert the flash drive into an available USB port
on your computer. Once your computer is finished
recognizing the device, go to "My Computer" and
then to the drive labeled GUARDIAN.
2. Double click on the icon labeled GUARDIAN.exe
3. You will be prompted to create a password for
your DiskGO Secure GUARDIAN (click on the blue
link labeled "password rules" to see requirements
for creating your password). After creating and
confirming your password, you may choose to fill
in your name and contact information, such as a
phone number or email address. These fields are
optional, but can prove helpful if your GUARDIAN
is ever misplaced. Click the check mark button to
continue.
NOTE: This product utilizes mandatory
encryption, which requires you to create a password
prior to use.
4. Click on the Log In / Log Out button.
