Installing the US Cellular Modem
• On the US Cellular UM 185 modem, slide the lid until
it clicks into an open position and unfold the
USB connector to a 180 degree angle.
• Plug the USB extension cord
into the modem, as shown below.
• Turn the modem face down, and place into the cutout on the
polycarbonate lid insert. Then velcro into place.

NOTE: Do NOT velcro the cords to the modem,
doing so may damage the cords and/or modem.

• Plug in the Direct Connect Cable into the back of the
modem, draping the cord toward the USB connector,
as shown below.

- Page 2 • Close the Hinged Lid Support with both cables extending through the center. Continued • Open the Rocket Lid and slide out the Hinged Lid Support. • Plug the direct connect cable into the Rocket and hand tighten, as shown below.
