9. Operation under ASIO

9.1 General

Start the ASIO software and select ASIO MADIface USB as the audio I/O device or the audio
driver.
The Digiface AVB supports ASIO Direct Monitoring (ADM).

9.2 Channel Count under ASIO

In Single Speed Speed (44.1 and 48 kHz) 128 input and output channels each are available.
Double Speed (88.2 and 96kHz) reduces the number of available channels to 64 each. Quad
Speed (176.4 and 192kHz) reduces the number of available channels to 32 each.
Through TotalMix FX, the 128 input and 128 output channels of the hardware (the network) are
fully accessible even at 96 kHz (at 192 kHz Digiface AVB still supports 60 network channels).
Note: When changing the sample rate range between Single, Double and Quad Speed the
number of channels presented from the ASIO driver will change too. This may require a reset of
the I/O list in the audio software.
