SPECIFICATION FOR SIGNALS FROM BASE STATION
TYPE GSOC26 TO COMMENTATORS BOX TYPE GSOC24
NOTES
The GSOC24 is a new improved version of our GSOC4. It is entirely compatible with the original GSOC4 and can
be used with any of our original base stations (GSOC3, GSOC5 or GSOC8) as well as with our new base station
type GSOC23
LINE UP
All levels to the commentators box are correct when preset using the LED column meter.
NOISE
Noise is measured into high impedance at the MIX output of the GSOC24 with a CCIR Quasi-peak meter. All
faders are closed and no signals are sent to the GSOC24.
< -58 dB CCIR unwtd quasi-peak
FREQUENCY RESPONSE
Frequency response is measured from the international sound input of the GSOC26 to the mix output of the
GSOC24. The international sound rotary fader is set to 12 o'clock and the international sound input level adjuster is
set to line up using the LED meter.
Better than +/- 2dB from 60 Hz to 11kHz
DISTORTION
Total harmonic distortion is measured from the GSOC26 international sound input to the GSOC24 mix output.
Levels should be set as for frequency response measurement.
Any frequency 300Hz to 3kHz
CROSSTALK
Co-ord to Mix output. Tone is fed to the co-ord input on the GSOC26 and it's level set to 'PPM4' on the LED
meter. Crosstalk is then measured at the mix output of the GSOC24 using a narrow band filter.
Crosstalk at 1kHz
Crosstalk at 10kHz
