TC846A1005 Pinnacle™
Intelligent Laser Smoke Sensor
Installation in XLS Fire Alarm Systems

GENERAL
The TC846A1005 Pinnacle™ Laser Smoke Detector can be used with the Hon-
eywell XLS1000 fire alarm control panel. The TC846A1005 is configured in
the SDU data file from the TC846 tab in the 3-AADC configuration screen.
The TC846A1005 is connected to the 3-AADC Analog Addressable Device Con-
troller using a Honeywell B210LP standard base, B224RB relay base, B224BI
isolator base, B501BH Horn Base, or B501BHT Temporal Tone Sounder Base.
PREINSTALLATION
Configure and install the XLS1000 fire alarm control panel with a 3-AADC An-
alog Addressable Device Controller as described in form no. 95-7545, XLS1000
Installation and Service Manual. When configuring the database using the
SDU, use the TC846 smoke detector parameters.
NOTE: For use with the DeltaNet FS90 Fire & Security System, refer to form no.
95-7421, DeltaNet FS90 Fire & Security System Installation Instructions.
WIRING
The TC846A1005 Pinnacle™ Laser Smoke Detector is wired to the 3-AADC
loop by using a separate Honeywell Plug-in Detector Base. Terminal 1 is wired
to the negative polarity (–) side of the loop, and terminal 2 is wired to positive
polarity (+) side of the loop. See Fig. 5.
CHECKOUT
Standard checkout procedures are used for commissioning the TC846A1005
Pinnacle™ Laser Smoke Detector when used with the XLS1000 and 3-AADC.

area is likely to cause harmful interference in which case the user will be required to correct the interference at his own expense.
