Phrase Search
With the PW-E series
e-dictionaries, you aren't
limited to searching only for
single-word entries. Using
the Phrase Search, you can
search for idioms and
phrasal verbs by specifying
up to three keywords.
Super Jump
This function lets you jump
SUPER
directly from the definition
of one word to the definition
of another. Super Jump
returns matching entries from
both the Oxford Dictionary
of English and New Oxford
Thesaurus of English
databases.
New Oxford Thesaurus of English
The NOTE presents 600,000 alternative
and opposite words, with example
phrases to convey meanings. Along with
synonyms and antonyms, it also lists
related words and provides explanations
of often-confused words. A vital tool for
all those who care about making their
language more varied, interesting, and
precise.
JUMP
The Oxford Dictionary of Quotations
The ODQ * is Oxford's largest quotations
dictionary, with over 20,000 quotations
from books, films, newspapers, and
speeches. The ODQ contains
comprehensively indexed quotations from
around 3,000 historical figures, including
authors, politicians, scientists, and artists.
