When the unit is unpacked, make a visual inspection looking for missing parts or damage that may have occurred during shipment. Report any missing parts to Novatec immediately. 13 LUBRICATION 13.1 Lubrication Guidelines 1. NOVATEC model SVP series vacuum pumps include splash lubricated bearings that require no grease, but both the gear and shaft sides of the pump unit contain oil sumps that must be maintained as part of your lubrication and oil replacement procedures. -
