Troubleshooting Guide

Before you call our service line (1-800-SAMSUNG), check to see if one of the
solutions below will solve your problem.
The micro w a v e 's display does not come on and the oven will not
o p e r a t e .
Make sure that the three-prong plug is properly inserted into a grounded outlet. If
the outlet is controlled by a wall switch, make sure it is on. Remove the plug
from the outlet, wait ten seconds, then plug it in again. Check and reset the
circuit breaker or replace any fuse that is blown. Plug another appliance into the
outlet; if the other appliance doesn't work, call a qualified electrician to repair the
outlet. Plug the oven into a different outlet.
The micro w a v e 's display works, but the oven's power won't
come on.
Make sure the door is closed securely. If a dish is touching the door, it may not
close. Check to see if a piece of paper, packing, or other material is stuck to the
door seal. Make sure the door is undamaged. Press the CLEAR/OFF button
twice and re-enter all cooking instructions.
The power goes off before the set time has elapsed.
If there has not been a power outage, remove the plug from the wall outlet, wait
ten seconds, then plug it in again. Check and reset the circuit breaker or replace
any fuse that is blown.
The food is cooking too slowly.
Make sure the oven is on its own 15 amp circuit line. Operation with another appli-
ance that is on the same circuit can cause a voltage drop. If necessary, relocate the
oven to its own circuit.
You see sparks or arc i n g .
Remove any metallic utensils, cookware, or metal ties. (When using foil, allow at least
one inch between the foil and interior oven walls. Use only narrow strips of foil.)
Using your microwave causes TV or radio interf e re n c e .
This is similar to the interference caused by other small appliances, such as
vacuum cleaners or hair dryers. If the problem is severe, relocate either your
microwave or your TV or radio so that they are farther apart.
