TROUBLE SHOOTING

PROBLEMS
CHECK
No dial tone
Is any plug disconnected
from all modular phone
plugs?
Is jack improperly
wired?
Phone does not work
Are all cords connected
properly?
Phone does not ring
Ringer Switch may be set to OFF?
Slide switch to ON position.
Cannot dial
Check the TONE / PULSE Switch setting.
You
may only have PULSE service.
Switch the TONE / PULSE switch to PULSE nositon
Other party cannot hear you
Ensure Handset cord is connected
properly.
Display showing erroneous
figures
Setup the phone by pressing
and holding the
QB
CD
DELETE button and then the
CD
DOWN
Display Is corrupt or does not work
button.
After that, reset the Language,
Area
as intended
Code as shown on page 9.

Your phone must be reset by inserting
a
straightened
paper clip into the small hole behind
the Display marked RESET.
This will also clear
all memories.
The display Is faded
Are batteries
correctly
installed
?
(Numbers are hard to see)
Are the batteries fresh ? Change all 4 batteries.
Replace all 4 batteries
at the same time.
Adiust the contrast with the Contrast Control.
Cannot store numbers i~to memory
No batteries are installed or batteries are weak or
installed
uo-slde-down.
Caller 10 does not work
Make sure the Caller 10 service is active.
- The phone is connected
to a working wall jack.
- All line cord connections
are correct and secure.
- Your answering
machine is set to answer after
at least 2 rings and you only pick up the
phone after 2 rings.
The Caller 10 display is blank
Press either
CD
UP or
CD
DOWN button to see
if •
-NO NEW CALLS-
n
appears.
Check If batteries are properly installed.
Check if you have received the first Caller 10 record
If you have received the first Caller 10 record, you
batteries
may be weak or you need to adjust the
Contrast
Control.
The Caller 10 display does not show
The Caller 10 unit will not function until you have
the caller's lntorrnatlon
Caller 10 service from your local telephone
company.
Call your local telephone
company to
have Caller 10 installed on your phone line.
Chec
your phone line connections.
Make sure all
connections
are secure
and connected.
If it is a private call or a blocked call. the caller's
name and/or phone number will not appear on
the display.
Static noise on line or cannot hear calling
Replace the coil cord.
Any phone store has
party or calling party cannot hear you.
