8.4.1.8. FINALIZE INSTALLATION
This is a CRITICAL step in the installation process!
This starts the Horizontal Plane Alignment, or the "Finalization", of the device. During the
Finalization, the NX40 device calculates its own orientation of installation, with respect to the
horizontal surface of the earth. The accuracy of this calculation determines the validity of the
Driver Behaviour Alarms (section 5.9) that are generated and reported.
Before starting the Finalization, make sure that:
1) The vehicle Ignition is OFF.
2) The vehicle is stationary.
3) The vehicle is on a level surface.
Once the operation has been completed, a message will be displayed informing the user
whether it was successful or not, e.g.:
