Assembly Instructions The Walker Lawn Dethatcher will effectively dislodge F571 excessive thatch from your lawn. Thatch is a layer of stems, clippings, runners, roots, and leaves that have not decayed. Excessive thatch prevents air, water, and fertilizer from reaching the roots. These instruc- tions will help ensure proper assembly and operation.

With the dethatcher mounted on the mower deck and the tines lowered into the working position, the tine ends should be approximately 1/2 in. (13mm) above the surface as shown in the Adjust Tine Working Height photo.
Operating Instructions OPERATING THE DETHATCHER FREE POSITION The dethatcher can be raised or lowered to engage, or disengage, the tines as desired. 1. To engage the dethatcher, pull back on the lift lever. While holding the foot trigger, lower the dethatcher into the working position as shown in Engaging Dethatcher photo.
