7.4.3 MIL-STD-1553 Cable Assemblies

Ballard offers four standard cable assemblies for MIL-STD-1553 (see Table 7.7
below). The standard length is three feet.

These four cables are available for single or dual channel modules and with or
without a D-sub connector. All of them provide a twinax cable from the LFH
connector to a PL-75 for each of the transformer coupled MIL-STD-1553 buses.
All channels are dual redundant, so there are either two or four twinax cables
with PL-75s on each assembly. Twinax cables are wired as shown in Table 7.8.
