NOTE: To operate the DYI80W using wall power (instead of batteries), just plug it in as if you were charging it. Insert/Eject Micro SD Card The DYI80W supports up to a 128GB micro SD card. The purpose of the SD card is to store the bulk of your surveillance footage.
2. Remove The Micro SD card Push the card in until you feel a spring release, the card will eject when you let go. Power On/Off 1. Power On The DYI80W CAUTION: When the device is powered on the camera’s lens heat sink will heat up. This is normal.
Continuous/Motion Detection Modes The DYI80W can record in either continuous or in motion activation. The default mode is continuous; it will automatically start recording in this mode when it is initially powered on. 1. Continuous Recording Make sure a micro SD card is inserted. Slide the power switch to the ON position.

RecorderGear APP Visit the App Store for iOS devices or Google Play Store for Android devices. Search for the APP by typing RecorderGear into the search bar. Download & install the APP on your iOS/ Android device. SEARCH FOR RecorderGear...
The first step in getting the DYI80W to function as a Wi-Fi IP camera, is to connect your iOS/Android device to the DYI80W’s Wi-Fi signal. Then use the RecorderGear APP to connect the DYI80W to your home/ business Wi-Fi network (see section 7-2) 1.

Locate the camera UID on the QR code sticker of your DYI80W. (Located on the back of the device under the cover) NOTE: The UID & QR code is unique to your device.

Open the Wi-Fi Settings of your iOS/ Android device, then select the camera’s UID (matches the QR code sticker) from the Wi-Fi list. Open the RecorderGear APP & tap Search...

Tap Wi-Fi Settings & select your Home/ Business Wi-Fi name. Enter your Home/ Business Wi-Fi password as prompted. Tap OK to accept the connection. Confirm you want to connect the DYI80W to the selected Wi-Fi, by tapping OK. It will then say Device Reset, tap OK.

Completely close out of the RecorderGear APP & wait for 40 seconds. Open the RecorderGear APP, the camera status will say online . You can now change the DYI80W’s settings & remotely view a live video stream, from anywhere in the world (from your iOS/ Android device).

These options include: Save to Album - Save snapshots/photos to your phone’s photos APP. Share - Share snapshots/photos to social media or save to your phones photos APP. Delete Snapshot - Delete a specific snapshot/photo. Delete All - Delete all the photos that have been taken through the APP.

On App Recordings - Tap to view files that have been recorded through the APP. Micro SD Card Recordings - Shows footage contained on the SD card. To download video files to the APP, select your desired camera. Next, press & hold the file to download.

Downloading Micro SD Card Footage Where files go while they are downloading Downloaded Micro SD Card Footage - Shows video footage downloaded from the micro SD card. Press & hold a file to share or save to your phones photos APP. NOTE: ALL footage is saved to the micro SD Card.
Live Stream Screen Settings 1. Watching Live Video In The APP On the Live Video/Main Screen the camera you would like to view & the camera’s live video feed will appear.

2. Live Video Stream Settings Brightness - Adjust video brightness. Effects video recorded to the APP & microSD card. Contrast - Adjust video contrast. Effects footage recorded to the APP & microSD card Infrared Night Vision - Turns night vision on/off (if your camera supports it) Indicator Light On/Off - Turn on/off the indicator light, for more discreet monitoring.

Flip Left/Right - Flip the view Left/Right. This change effects footage recorded to the APP & microSD card. Resolution - Change the resolution of the Live Video Stream (from 1080p to 480p). This will NOT change the resolution of footage recorded to the micro SD card.

1. Alarm Settings Motion Detection Sensitivity - Change motion detection sensitivity range from 1 to 7 or disable it. Alarm Schedule - Set times for when your camera takes motion activated alert screen-shots. NOTE: If Motion Detection Sensitivity is disabled this function will not work.
