Will the recorder give an initial PH if it is not attached to the esophagus or let's say connected to the wrong capsule number

No, the Given Imaging Bravo recorder will not provide an initial pH reading if the capsule is not in contact with a solution or if the recorder is connected to the wrong capsule number. The recorder may display errors such as "Capsule out-of-range" or "Capsule ID mismatch," requiring corrective actions like moving the recorder closer or recalibrating the capsule.
