To answer an incoming call with the flip closed:
1. Make sure your phone is on. (If your phone is off, incoming
calls go to voicemail.)
2. When your phone rings or vibrates, press and hold the Side
Volume key (
(The call will be answered in speakerphone mode.)

Open the phone to use the earpiece.
Note:

, opening the phone will not answer the call. (See "Setting the
Open/Close Flip Option" on page 49.)
Your phone notifies you of incoming calls in the following ways:
The phone rings and/or vibrates.
The LED flashes.
The backlight illuminates.
The screen displays an incoming call message.
If available, the phone number of the caller is displayed.
If the phone number is in your Contacts list, the contact's
name is displayed.
The following options are also displayed by pressing
(right softkey).
Note:
If you set the
Answer Call
, and if you open the flip when you receive a call, the
options below are not available.
Answer to answer the call.
Answer:Speaker to answer the call in speakerphone mode.
Select Audio to switch the call to your desired device (if
available).
Answer on Hold to put the call on hold. (See "Setting Answer
on Hold" on page 14.)
Screen Call to answer the call by using pre-recorded
announcement. See page 90 for setting up.
Quiet Ringer to mute the ringer. (This feature appears when
the ringer is set.)
Tip:
Your phone offers additional ways to answer calls. (See page 48 for
Auto-Answer and page 49 for Any Key Answer.)
