WIRING
NOTES:
1. No EOLR required.
2. 22 AWG min., 12 AWG max.
3. 3300 feet max. per pair
between NRCs.
Shielded or Unshielded
twisted pair with a minimum
of 3 twists per ft.
Refer to Table 1 for NRC
cable specifications.
4. Terminate shields at one end
only.
5. Power limited to NFPA 70.
6. All wires supervised.
7 . Ground fault detected at
8.5K ohms or less.

Remove all system power before installation, first battery then AC. (To power up,
connect the AC first, then the battery.)
All field wiring to the NRC is connected to the terminal blocks of the CC-2 or CC-5
card cage slot in which it is installed.
To connect the field wiring:
1.
Loosen the screw of the terminal by turning it counterclockwise.
2.
Insert the wire into the side of the terminal block.
3.
Tighten the screw of the terminal block by turning it clockwise.
The screw terminals can accommodate one 12 - 22 AWG.
