Quick Installation Guide for G2wifi II G2wifi II Connection G2wifi II, a WLAN Access Point with the built-in modem, has failover function using dial-up modem. Not only can it be used as a regular router to connect to ADSL / Cable modem but also as a PPP router using dial-up modem to connect to the ISP.

Software Connection Settings Before the setup, please confirm that the LAN port of the router has been connected with the PC via RJ-45. Refer to the following sections to set up the G2wifi II based on the modem you have selected:...

After finishing the above procedures, select the following steps for further settings according to your type of the Dial-up modems as we have mentioned above: ─ Set up the G2wifi II for GPRS, 3G/3.5G HSDPA or EDGE modem 1. In this case, please select GPRS.

Ver 1.0.0.0 Setup your GPRS connection details according to your needs. Two modes are offered for Reconnect Mode setting, including Always On or On Demand. Idle time below is the time for “On Demand” mode to disconnect when the modem is idle. In GPRS ISP SETTINGS, please contact your ISP for the GPRS online settings.

When the device has rebooted properly. You can check if the switch is online by clicking on the STATUS. The information should be displayed under the WAN section. ─ Set up the G2wifi II for CDMA/EVDO modem In this case, please select CDMA.

Restore Factory Default Settings G2wifi II provides a “Reset” button that will be easy for users to reset the router to default. The button is located at the rear panel of the router (See the figure below). Reset steps are as follows: (1) Unplug the power cable.
