Using the D-Net
Problem
"Connection is failed.
1394 network speed is not
compatible." message appears.
"This device is occupied by another
device." message appears.
"Authentication is failed" message
appears.
"Recording is prevented." message
appears.
Although DV Camcorder is in
the device list, no picture is
displayed on the screen when
the DV camcorder is selected.

Possible Solution
This message appears when the connection speed of
the connected device and the device selected from the
Target List are different when copying data.
➔ Connect a low speed device between the two
devices. (See figure)
A 1394 device has a maximum connection
speed which will be marked near the
IEEE 1394 connector with an "S" number
(i.e., S100,S200,S400). The higher the number,
the faster the maximum connection speed.
This TV has a maximum connection speed of S400.
This message appears when you try to record a
device, which is currently being recorded manually or
by another device, through the TV.
➔ Stop the recording device and retry.
Check that the connected device supports DTCP.
This message appears when trying to copy protected
content.
Although a camcorder which supports the DV format
appears in the device list, you cannot watch video
from the camcorder even if you select the camcorder
as an input source, because the TV supports the
MPEG format only.
