Alco-Sensor FST
Basic Operation Checklist
1. Attach Mouthpiece
Insert closed end of mouthpiece into end of channel,
single hole facing up. Lever/push down to lock into
place.
2. Power Instrument ON.
Press the ON button (large button) with trigger/index
finger to power unit ON. Hold down for several
seconds if back lighting is preferred.
3. Battery condition and temperature will display.
4. When 'blo' appears, instruct subject on how to
properly provide a breath sample.
"Take a deep breath, hold it for a moment and blow
steadily into the mouthpiece for as long as you can".
5. Note the subject's result.
6. Remove & discard the mouthpiece.
7. Turn the instrument OFF.
Press the OFF button (small button under display) or
the instrument will auto-power down after fifteen
seconds.
