Appendix E/ Transportation and
Storage
Transportation
Be sure to pack the CGP-220 as described below before transporting, to protect the
precision ink-jet mechanism.
1. Turn the POWER switch on.
2. Lock the carriage (see page 11).
3. Turn the POWER switch off.
4.
Remove all the paper from the Printer.
5. Detach the power cord and interface cable.
6. Secure the roll paper cover and ink pack compartment with tape.
7. Place the Printer in its original packing box. Make sure that it is well cushioned
with styrofoam or other shock-absorbent packing material.
Notes:
1. Do not remove the Ink Packs when moving Printer. If removed, the ink may
solidify.
2. Be careful not to jolt the Printer or expose it to vibration.
Storage

Do not remove Ink Packs for storage.
Be sure to maintain the Printer within the reasonable ranges of temperature and
humidity.
Clean the Printer with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use harsh solvents such as thinner
or benzine. This will damage the cover and/ or internal electronic circuitry.
After the long storage €more than 6 months), perform the ink supply pumping 6
times and check the printing. If the Printer does not print, turn the POWER
switch off and wait for 6 hours or more. Then perform the ink supply pumping
procedure.
If printing is still impossible, contact your Radio Shack service center.
