The pet tool brush on the Bissell Swivel Pet Rewind may not rotate due to debris blocking the brush area or lower hose. To fix this:
1. Unplug the machine. 2. Recline the handle. 3. Remove 7 Phillips head screws to take off the brush access plate. 4. Disconnect the lower hose and turn the hose collar to the left. 5. Use a broomstick to push through the hose toward the brush area to clear debris. 6. Inspect the lower hose, belt, and brush access plate for damage or debris. 7. Remove any debris found. 8. Replace any damaged parts if needed.
Also, note that the rotating floor brush continues to spin while tools are in use, so avoid placing fingers or objects near it when the vacuum is running.

The bar has frozen and will not turn at all manually. I’ve take it out, cleaned off all hair, etc, and replaced. I first noticed because of a slight burning smell. So, not sure that replacing the bar would fix it. Suggestions?

If the vacuum bar on the Bissell SWIVEL PET REWIND is frozen and emits a burning smell, follow these troubleshooting steps:
1. Turn off power and unplug the vacuum to avoid electric shock. 2. Flip the vacuum over and remove six (6) Philips head screws to take off the bottom cover. 3. Inspect the brush roll: - Try spinning it by hand. It should spin freely with a flick. - If it doesn’t spin freely, remove debris or replace the brush roll. 4. Check the belt: - Look for wear or cuts. - If damaged, replace the belt. 5. Do not operate the vacuum with wet or missing filters.
These steps help resolve issues like a frozen bar or burning smell due to a jammed brush roll or worn-out belt.
