Video
The disc revolves, but no image or bad quality
images is displayed.
Be sure that the Video Setting is
Checkpoint 1
properly set. (See pages 40~41)
Check whether there is damage to or
Checkpoint 2
any foreign material on your disc.
Some low quality discs may not play
Checkpoint 3
properly.
If scenes change from dark to bright
Checkpoint 4
suddenly, the screen may shake
vertically temporarily, but this is not a
fault.
Sound
No sound.
Are you watching a programme in
Checkpoint 1
slow or skip mode?
If you are playing a programme at a
speed other than normal speed,
sound will not be heard.
Check the connections and settings.
Checkpoint 2

Check whether the disc is damaged.
Checkpoint 3
Clean the disc, if necessary.
Checkpoint 4
Check whether the disc is inserted
correctly with the label facing up.
No audio output.
Check whether you have selected
Checkpoint 1
the correct digital output options in
the Audio Output Options menu.

Timer Recording

Timer lamp flickers.
Check there is enough space in the
Checkpoint 1
disc or HDD for recording.
Checkpoint 2
Check whether the current disc is
recordable or not.
Make sure to check before the start
time of recording.
Timer recording does not work properly.
Re-check the recording time and the
Checkpoint 1
end time settings again.
Checkpoint 2
Recording will be cancelled if the
power is interrupted due to a power
failure or another similar reason
while recording.
HDMI
No HDMI output.
Check whether the mode is stop
Checkpoint 1
mode or not. You can switch HDMI
mode in stop mode.
Check the Video output is HDMI
Checkpoint 2
enabled.
Check the connection between the
Checkpoint 3
TV and the HDMI jack of the HDD &
DVD RECORDER.
See if your TV supports HDMI.
