Genesis Instruments are warranted for one (1) year against
defects in workmanship and materials when used for their
intended purpose and maintained according to instructions. The
electrode is warranted for a period of six months. This warranty

maintenance are not covered. If service is required, contact
the dealer from whom you purchased the instrument. If under

Familiarizing yourself with your new meter
A. Turning your meter "on": To turn your meter on, press and
hold the O/MODE button for 2-3 seconds. Notice that every
time you turn the pen on, it will flash all icons used on the LCD
for a few seconds. This is immediately followed by the
percentage of remaining battery life – example: % 95 BATT).
After the battery life flashes the pen will settle into "normal
measurement mode". Now would be a good time to get familiar
with the measurement options. This is located to the right of
the ATC icon and above the "primary display". Press the Set/
Hold button repeatedly and the measurement options will scroll
between PPM, uS, & pH (or ppt, mS, and pH for the GI-98130).
B. To turn your meter "off": Make sure the pen is normal
measurement mode, then press and hold O/MODE button. The
LCD will read "OFF". Immediately release the O/MODE button,
your meter will now be off.
C. Freezing the display: press the set/hold button for 2-3
seconds until the secondary display reads "HOLD". Pressing
either button will return you to normal measurement mode.
NOTE: Before taking a measurement, follow the calibration
instructions to ensure accurate readings. For accuracy it is
recommended to carry out a two point calibration. For best
results always use Genesis Instrument buffers and calibration
solutions. If measurements are taken in different samples
successively, rinse the electrode thoroughly to eliminate cross-
contamination and after cleaning, rinse the electrode with some
of the sample to be measured. When not in use, rinse the
electrode with water and store in a few drops of storage solution.
Do not use distilled water. If electrode dries out soak in storage
solution for one hour. Clean monthly in cleaning solution.
