The Robertshaw® 8000 Series Single Level Pressure Switches will
replace several models of Robertshaw switches used on sump pumps
and other similar appliances. A typical application on a sump pump unit
is shown at right. The switch operates as an automatic control device
which turns the pump motor on when the water level rises and turns it
off when the level falls.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

1. Disconnect POWER SUPPLY.
2. Remove old switch and note terminal wiring before disconnecting
leads.
3. Attach leads to new switch and install switch in operating position.
NOTE: Some applications require the switch to be submerged in liquid
(sump pumps). A gasket is used to seal the terminal area from the
liquid. When replacing this type switch use new neoprene gasket
supplied with switch. Be certain gasket is located on same side of
switch as old gasket.
4. Secure switch firmly in place and reassemble any other parts if
their removal was required.
