MINIMAX REQUIRED TOOLING To successfully cable the Fischer MiniMax Series tooling is required to insure proper alignment of the various parts that need to be assembled. The below instructions are valid for cable assemblies on both plug (MP11) and cable receptacle (MR50) for both sizes 06 and 08, independent of locking or coding.

FISCHER SERIES MINIMAX PROCEDURE Cut the bend relief to adjust it to the cable diameter. Slide the bend relief +clip + back nut + insulator tube on the cable as shown in the picture. Strip the cable jacket to 14mm. (for both size 06 and 08).

FISCHER SERIES MINIMAX PROCEDURE Slide the insulator tube onto the contact block using the «poka yoke» mismatch protection for correct orientation. Pull back the braid from the insulator tube on the cable jacket. The insulator tube can be glued on the contact block for better retention.

FISCHER SERIES MINIMAX PROCEDURE Potting of the insulator tube through the hole (upper limit = blue line). Insulator tube can be pre-heated if necessary. We recommend to use a heat shrinkable sleeve to cover the filling-hole to avoid potting material coming out of the hole once potted.

FISCHER SERIES MINIMAX CABLE ASSEMBLY TYPES Pull up the braided shield. Cut off the braided shield to a length slightly infe- rior to the O-ring location. Fitting of the backnut with the press. Press-fit the backnut with the multifunction press using the appropriate tool set for Minimax 08 (130253) or Minimax 06 (130252).

FISCHER SERIES MINIMAX PROCEDURES Potting of the back nut through the hole. First fix the boot bend relief clip on the back nut. Make sure the potting material entirely fills the space between the clip and the nut, all the way to the top of the clip.
