Dialing and Saving Phone Numbers
With Pauses
You can dial or save phone numbers with pauses for use with
automated systems, such as voicemail or credit card billing.
Tip:
Creating a saved series of numbers with pauses is very useful
when entering data into an automated system.
For example, if accessing your bank information requires
dialing a toll-free number, followed by an account number
and then your PIN, you can place a two-second pause after
each group of numbers to ensure they are read correctly.
There are two types of pauses available
on your phone:
Hard Pause sends the next set of
numbers in your Contacts entry
only after you press
This is indicated with a

2sec Pause automatically sends the
next set of numbers after two seconds. This is indicated

You can have multiple pauses in a phone number and
combine both two-second and hard pauses.
To save phone numbers with pauses:
1.
Enter the phone number.

Select Options (
2sec Pause.
3.
Enter additional numbers and additional pauses (shown
above).
