Most of the standards like TIA 942-A have now removed the maximum
length requirement on the link. However, WireXpert allows you to
con gure the length limit to determine the PASS/FAIL criteria of an autotest.
Set it to a big number should you feel the limit unnecessary.
Performing AutoTest
To perform an autotest hit on the Autotest button. The test will
automatically start,if the test setting match the con guration of set
reference stored. If the reference setting does not exist, it will prompt you
to perform set reference.
Viewing Results
Once the autotest is complete the summary results are
displayed on the device both local and remote. Click on the wavelength
to see its detailed results.
Exporting Test Results
For exporting Fiber test results stored in the device a USB ash drive is
required. When the ash drive is inserted into WireXpert the screen will
pop-up. Click on the copy Test Records to USB ash drive option and the
test results are automatically copied.
Once the results are copied on to the USB ash drive, plug the ash
drive into a PC and open the ReportXpert application. Import the Fiber
results into the ReportXpert application from the USB ash drive.
Once imported, the test results can be viewed on the PC.
PDF reports can be generated along with the copper test
results using the ReportXpert software.

Quick Start Guide
Single-Mode Adapter Kit
The WireXpert optical testing solution is available for single-mode and
multi-mode certi cation as sepearate kits. The Single-mode kit allows
Tier1 certi cation on two wavelengths simultaneously, at 1310nm and
1550nm. Multi-mode performs Tier1 certi cation at 850nm and 1300 nm.
The kit ships with the adapters and reference cords for launch and
tail cords. The Multi-mode kit ships with a pair of mandrels. Encircled
Flux mode conditioners are available as an orderable option.
