Synchronizing your accounts
You can choose to have your device automatically maintain
synchronization with your accounts, or manually synchronize
each account when you want to check messages.
You may also choose to limit automatic or background
synchronization to extend battery life.
From the Home screen, touch

Set synchronization options:

• Background data: When enabled,applications can sync, send, and
receive data at any time.
• Auto-sync: When enabled, applications can sync data
automatically, at any time. You can manually sync accounts with the
Sync option available in the accounts.

The first time you access Contacts, you can choose an

• Create a new contact:Add new contacts to be stored on the
device.
• Sign in to an account: Set up an account on your device, to sync
contacts from the account on your device.
• Import contacts from a file: Bring contacts in from a file you
previously exported, such as from another device.
• Import from SIM card: Copy contacts stored on your SIM card to
your device.
Follow the prompts to complete the action.
