Brief Introduction A-Link 3GU USB modem is a type of multi-mode, 3G wireless USB modem, applicable for HSDPA/HSUPA/WCDMA/EDGE/GPRS/GSM. With USB interface to connect to PC, it integrates functions of modem and combines mobile communication with the internet perfectly. Via HSDPA/HSUPA/WCDMA/EDGE/GPRS/GSM mobile network, it carries out Data service and SMS services, helping you break away from limitation of time and zone, and communicate wirelessly anytime and anywhere. -

1. Hardware Installation A) Insert the SIM card into the 3GU USB modem: Insert the SIM card with the metal contact tip face up into the 3GU SIM card tray tightly. See step 1. on below picture. Put SIM card tray back to 3GU USB modem. See step 2. on below picture. - Page 4 Pack 2 or newer)Instructions Linux operating systems can be found from modem memory or from website http://www.a-link.com. Insert the 3GU USB modem into PC’s USB port. See step 1. on below picture. You can also use provided USB cable to get better connection performance.

2. Software Installation A) Windows 2000/XP/Vista The installation pop-up window appears on display if the PC’s system supports installation automatically. (If the installation auto run failed, please run “QsSetup.exe” program) Select the language applicable to the operating system, click “Next”. Choose “I accept the terms of the license agreement”, click “Next”. - Page 6 PIN code, you can enter it now. Select used profile (operator) and press “Connect” button to connect Internet. Note! After the installation, a shortcut icon “Connection Manager” is created on the desktop. Select on the computer “Start” menu “All Programs A-Link”, and there is a program group listed in.
- Page 7 B) Mac OS 10.4.9 and later (Mac OS versions supported: Tiger and Leopard on Intel hardware) Insert the 3GU USB Modem to Mac PC free USB port and open icon "A-LINK_MODEM" appeared on the desktop. Double-click the “A-LINK_MODEM” icon. Drag the Mac OS setup icons "3GU USB modem_setup.dmg" and “MACUSBDriver.dmg”...
- Page 8 At the end of the Installations close the book "3GU USB modem_setup" on the desktop Click icon "MACUSBDriver.dmg" on the Desktop to install the driver for 3GU modem. Follow the instructions proposals for installation Accept the License Agreement and start the Installation.
- Page 9 Launch the software “3GU USB modem” from the applications menu. Connection Manager is now installed and ready to use. If your SIM card request PIN code, you can enter it now. Select profile (operator) using “ “icon and press “Connect” button to connect Internet.

A) Aseta SIM -kortti 3GU USB -modeemiin: Aseta SIM -kortti tiiviisti SIM -kortin pidikkeeseen, siten että, metallinen kosketuspinta on ylöspäin. Katso alla olevan kuvan kohta 1. Aseta SIM -kortin pidike takaisin 3GU USB -modeemiin. Katso alla olevan kuvan kohta 2. - Page 14 Internetistä osoitteesta http://www.a-link.com. Liitä 3GU USB -modeemi tietokoneen USB -porttiin. Katso alla olevan kuvan kohta 1. Voit myös käyttää mukana toimitettua USB -kaapelia saadaksesi paremman yhteyden suorituskyvyn. Katso alla olevan kuvan kohta 2. Kun merkkivalo syttyy, 3GU USB -modeemi on liitetty oikein.

2. Ohjelmiston Asennus Asennusikkuna ilmestyy ruutuun jos tietokone tukee automaattista käynnistystä. (Jos automaattinen käynnistys ei toimi, suorita “QsSetup.exe” -ohjelma) Valitse käyttöjärjestelmään sopiva kieli, paina “Seuraava”. Valitse “Hyväksyn lisenssisopimuksen ehdot”, paina “Seuraava”. - Page 16 Jos SIM -korttisi vaatii PIN -koodia, voit antaa sen nyt. Valitse käytettävä profiili (palveluntarjoaja) ja paina ”Yhdistä” -painikkeesta yhdistääksesi Internetiin. Huom! Asennuksen jälkeen, työpöydälle ilmestyy ”Connection Manager” -pikakuvake. Valitse tietokoneen ”Käynnistä” -valikosta ”Kaikki Ohjelmat A-link” ja sieltä löytyy ohjelmistoryhmän listaus.
- Page 17 B) Mac OS 10.4.9 tai uudempi (Tuetut Mac OS -versiot: Tiger ja Leopard Intel:in raudalla) Liitä 3GU USB Modeemi Mac -tietokoneen vapaaseen USB -porttiin ja avaa kuvake "A-LINK_MODEM" joka on ilmestynyt työpöydälle. Tupla-klikkaa “A-LINK_MODEM” -kuvakkeesta. Siirrä Mac OS -asennuskuvakkeet "3GU USB modem_setup.dmg" ja “MACUSBDriver.dmg”...
- Page 18 Asennuksen lopussa, sulje "3GU USB modem_setup" työpöydältä Klikkaa kuvaketta "MACUSBDriver.dmg" työpöydältä, asentaaksesi ajurin A-Link 3GU USB Modeemille. Seuraa asennuksen ohjeita. Hyväksy Lisenssisopimus ja käynnistä asennus. Asennus on valmis. Mac OS pitää käynnistää uudelleen.
- Page 19 Suorita ”3GU USB modem” -ohjelmisto Ohjelmat -valikosta. “Connection Manager” -ohjelma on nyt asennettu ja valmis käytettäväksi.
