Getting to know your ZOTAC AMP BOX MINI Front view 1. Power LED The power LED becomes red in standby mode, and turns green when booting. 2. USB 3.0 ports The USB 3.0 port supports the SuperSpeed USB 3.0 devices and is backwards compatible with USB 2.0/1.1 devices.
Rear view 1. Thunderbolt 3 port The Thunderbolt 3 port is only for connecting to the Thunderbolt 3 Host. 2. Power input (DC19V) The supplied power adapter converts AC power to DC power for use with this jack. Power supplied through this jack supplies power to the Box. To prevent damage to the Box, always use the supplied power adapter.
Installing hardware inside the ZOTAC AMP BOX MINI Before installing hardware, please follow the instructions below to remove the cover of your ZOTAC AMP BOX MINI. 1. Remove the two rear thumb screws. 2. Gently lift up the cover and remove as shown below.
Installing a single-slot card 1. Remove the two thumb screws from the frame bracket. 2. Gently lift up and remove the frame bracket.

3. Press the lever of riser card and remove the riser card from the PCIe slot. lever 4. Install the riser card to your card (taking PCIe SSD as an example).

5. Remove the lower screw and remove the lower single-slot bracket. 6. Install the single-slot card to the frame bracket as shown below.

7. Install the screw. 8. Insert the frame bracket with single-slot card into the Box, and press the riser card into the PCIe slot.

9. Install the thumb screws. 10. Reinstall the cover and the rear thumb screws.
Installing a double-slot card 1. Follow the instructions on page 9-10 to remove the frame bracket and the riser slot. 2. Remove the two screws and brackets from the frame bracket. 3. Install the double-slot card to the frame bracket (taking a two slot Graphics card as an example).

4. Tighten and secure the Graphics card to the bracket with the screws provided. 5. Install the riser card to your double-slot card.

6. Connect one end of the provided 6-pin power cable to the power connector on the motherboard. (shown below) Note: This step is only required if the installed add-on card requires an additional 6-pin power connector to operate. 7. Connect the other end of the 6-pin power cable to the add-on card.

8. Insert the add-on card with frame bracket back into the box and slide the Riser card into the PCI-e slot. 9. Install the thumb screws to secure it.

10. Reinstall the cover and the rear thumb screws.

Approving Thunderbolt Devices When connecting the ZOTAC AMP BOX MINI to Thunderbolt Host for the first time, follow the below steps to approve Thunderbolt™ devices. 1. When the following dialog box appears, click and select “Always Connect”. 2. Click “OK” to complete installation.
