SETUP INSTRUCTIONS

1. Remove the plastic film from the display.
2. In the back of the unit, open the battery
compartment by sliding its cover up and off in the
direction of the arrow (see figure).
3. Insert the supplied "AAA" battery in the direction
indicated. The beeper will sound quickly four times.
The display will show a running clock beginning at
AM 12:00:00.
4. Replace the battery compartment cover.

TO SET THE CLOCK

1. Press and hold the CLOCK button. A black cursor will
blink in the bottom left corner of the display.
2. Press the sequence of number keys corresponding
to the present time, adding an initial 0 for single-
digit hour numbers. For example: To set the clock to
4:15 (AM or PM), press 0 4 1 5. To set the clock to
11:30, press 1 1 3 0. If you make a mistake entering
digits, press the CLEAR button. This resets the
procedure to the first step.
3. Toggle between AM and PM (shown at the left of the
time) by pressing the START/STOP button (stenciled
AM ≈ PM in black).
4. When the hours and minutes digits (and AM or PM
setting) of the time are correct as shown, add the
seconds digits by pressing any two number buttons
(or 0 0 at the top of the minute for a precise setting).
This saves the clock setting.
5. To view the clock display in 24-hour (military)
format, press the small gray button on the upper
back of the unit stenciled 12 HR ≈ 24 HR in black.
