OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Turn the timer over and open the battery compartment on the back by sliding its
cover up.
2. Install the supplied "AAA" battery in the compartment, observing the polarity
markings inside. A correct installation will produce four quick beeps.
3. Replace the cover, turn the timer over, and remove and discard the protective
plastic film with the black "19:59" overlay.
4. Set the desired countdown time by repeatedly pressing the HR and MIN buttons
on the front panel until the time shows on the LCD. The maximum countdown
duration is 19 hours, 59 seconds.
5. Press the START/STOP button to begin the countdown. The timer will produce
one beep, and the colon separating the hours and minutes fields on the LCD will
begin blinking once per second.
6. When the countdown completes (with the display showing 0:00), the alarm will
sound. To silence the alarm, press the MIN button (which has the words
ALARM STOP in red below it). The timer will return to idle mode, with the colon
steady (not blinking).
7. To pause an ongoing countdown, press the START/STOP button. The colon will stop flashing.
To resume a paused countdown, press the START/STOP button again. The colon will resume blinking.
8. To enter a new countdown duration, first clear the display by pressing the HR button (which has the word CLEAR
in red below it). Then enter the new duration by pressing the HR and MIN buttons.
