Congratulations on your purchase of a
Topeak ALiEN series tool. It's the first two-piece mini tool designed
for both road and mountain cyclists.
The ALiEN series tools fold neatly for easy carrying.
Each tool is designed for
maximum durability and strength for years of use.
This guide will instruct you in the proper use
of your ALiEN series tool.
Please read all instructions and warnings carefully
before using the ALiEN series tool.

Separating the A

1. Flip open safety lock.
2. Hold flat tool section in one hand while depressing the locking button with your thumb.
3. Slide Allen tool apart.
4. Reverse above procedure for reassembly.

To separate, press tab and slide section A as shown.

The knife blades on the ALiEN series tools are sharp.
Be careful when using the knife blade. Use extreme caution
WARNING when opening and closing your ALiEN series tool.

Using Locking Device on A section

RX
The locking device is used both to lock tools in place for use and to keep tools
from deploying when stored. For additional safety, the locking device is used for
knife blade storage.
Locking Device
The A section contains a very sharp knife blade. Be careful
when using the knife blade. Make sure the knife blade is

locked securely in the open position when used. Failure
to lock knife blade during use can result in serious injury.
Be careful when storing knife blade. Make sure all fingers
WARNING
are clear of blade path. Be sure knife blade is locked closed
during storage to prevent accidental deployment.

Using the T25 Torx Bit

Tighten disc brake rotor bolts with the T25 Torx bit.
4 mm Allen Key

Using the 5mm and 8mm Allen Keys

These two tools are combined.
Slide down the 8mm Allen head to use
the 5mm Allen key.
Slide up to use the 8mm Allen key.

Using Pedal Wrench

A DX
The LiEN ™ Tool is equipped with a mini pedal wrench for emergency use.
Remove mini pedal wrench from B section
Insert 8mm Allen key into 8mm
hex on mini pedal wrench.
Unfold tools as shown for
additional leverage.
The mini pedal wrench is for emergency use only.

The mini pedal wrench's strength is limited.
Never attempt to remove securely attached pedals from
crank using the mini pedal wrench.
