17_ TROUBLESHOOTING
Before contacting the after-sale service, perform the following simple checks. They may save you the time and
expense of an unnecessary call.
The unit does not work at all.
Cooling performance is poor.
The unit is operating, but the air
remains warm.
The compressor stops running
after a short time.
The unit is making unusual noises.
The unit is working, but the room
is still not cool enough.
The evaporator fan is noisy.
The condenser fan is noisy.
The air conditioner does not
operate with the remote control.
CAUTION:
Have repairs performed by a certified HVAC technician.

Problem
The ON timer is activated.
There is no power at the unit.
The wrong function mode was
selected.
There is an obstacle in front of
the unit.
The air filters are dirty.
The compressor is not yet operating.
The temperature is incorrectly set.
There is not enough voltage.
The unit is not leveled.
The room's BTU demand is greater
than the unit's capacity.
Cross flow fan is not well
balanced.
The fan is rubbing against the
plastic housing.
There is an obstacle between the
remote control and the signal
receiver.
The batteries are weak.
You are too far from the unit.
Cause
Cancel the timer.
Check the fuses and the circuit
breaker.
Select the correct function
mode. (auto, cooling)
Clear all obstacles.
Clean filters.
Wait

Unplug other appliances that
may overload the electrical
circuit breaker.
Place the unit on a leveled surface.
